About

Regina Leffers, Ph.D.

My undergraduate degrees are in Psychology and Philosophy and I earned my doctoral degree in Philosophy from Purdue University. Creativity, Meditation, Sustainability, and Being Kind are what I aspire to and value most in myself.

Some of my favorite ways to express creativity are painting and writing. I have begun each day with meditation for 40+ years. Although I didn’t know it at the time, this combination of studying Psychology + Philosophy + Meditation equals the study of Consciousness.

I am profoundly grateful for life as it is given to me in each moment.

I was the Director of the Center of Excellence for the Built Environment for the College of Engineering, Purdue University, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Professor of Sustainable Construction. Prior to that, I was one of the founders of the Northeast Indiana Green Build Coalition (along with my Leadership Fort Wayne Team), a precursor to the Northeast Indiana Chapter of the United States Green Build Council, and with Randy Roberts, was Co-Chair of Mayor Graham Richards’ Green Ribbon Commission for the City of Fort Wayne.
